Overview
Teeyul is a travel itinerary app that organizes your travel bookings by reading confirmation emails you forward to it. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep things simple: your data is used only to provide the service to you, and we do not sell it.
Data we collect
Account information
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google's OAuth service. This is used solely to authenticate you and identify your account.
Travel confirmation emails
When you forward a confirmation email to trips@teeyul.com, we store the full email content (subject, body, attachments) in order to extract your booking details. Raw email content is retained on our servers and is only accessible to you.
AI processing: Email content is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to extract structured booking data (dates, times, locations, reference numbers, prices, and passenger names). Anthropic processes this data solely to return the extraction result and does not retain it for training. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
Booking and itinerary data
Structured information extracted from your emails — flights, hotels, car rentals, events, and other travel bookings — is stored in your account and displayed in your itinerary.
Push notification tokens (mobile app)
If you grant notification permission in the Teeyul mobile app, we store a device-specific push token and your device platform (iOS or Android). This is used only to send you notifications about your own bookings. You can revoke permission at any time in your device settings.
Usage data
We use Vercel Analytics to collect basic, anonymous page-view data (pages visited, country-level location, browser type). This data cannot be tied back to individual users and is used only to understand overall product usage.
How we use your data
- To authenticate you and secure your account
- To extract booking details from emails you forward to us
- To display and organize your travel itinerary
- To send you push notifications about your bookings (mobile app, if enabled)
- To improve the product using aggregated, anonymous usage data
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, share it with third parties beyond the service providers listed below, or use your email content for any purpose other than extracting your booking details.

Data storage and security
Your data is stored in Supabase's cloud infrastructure, hosted on AWS (US East). Access is protected by row-level security policies: each user can only access their own data. Connections are encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
Data retention
We retain your account data and travel bookings for as long as you have an active account. Raw email content is retained to allow you to view the original email and to support re-extraction if needed. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction — update inaccurate data in-app or by contacting us
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Portability — request an export of your booking data
- Withdraw consent — disable push notifications in your device settings at any time

Children's privacy
Teeyul is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice in the app or by email. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
